Food Safety Level 1 – Free E-learning qualification

Free Food Safety E-learning and Certificate

Our free Food Safety e-learning course has been designed to  provide individuals that handle open food the essential knowledge and understanding of good Food Safety Practice.

This training course will provide candidates with a fundamental knowledge of food hygiene and to enable them to apply this knowledge to essential practical skills in order to prevent food poisoning. This course covers the mandatory requirements for Food Safety.

Safe and effective food safety and hygiene training isn’t just for businesses with a kitchen, it applies equally to businesses selling pre-packaged food and can help protect your business and ensure you avoid unwanted publicity. It also is essential for those working in the Health & Social Care Sector, especially those providing Care at Home.

Our course will help you understand your role in maintaining food safety. Our Free e-learning food safety and hygiene training course is ideal for those who work in low-risk catering environments.

In this course you will cover:

  • Introduction and fundamentals of food safety
  • Common Food Hazards and Risks
  • Responsibilities of food handlers and food safety

The course is completly free and will take you up to around 3 hours to complete. At the end of the course, you will be assessed and providing you achieve a result of 80% will be issued immediatly with a free downloadable certificate.

Please note: this course does not provide a qualification itself but does meet mandatory training requirements. If you wish to achieve a recognised level 1 food safety qualification you must sit an exam with a recognised training provider (you can still use the e-learning as the knowledge element of the training). Food handlers must be supervised and instructed and/or trained in food hygiene matters commensurate with their work activity.

I have enrolled for the course and completed the first module but then it will not allow me to continue to the next module because its saying I have to complete the first module before I can move on. As far as I can see I have completed the first one. I listened to the video and read the information. Is there something else I have to do? How do I get it to move onto the next one?
